APC Eitan (West)

The Eitan APC is a cutting-edge Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) designed specifically for urban combat scenarios. Developed by advanced engineering teams, it combines superior protection, mobility, and firepower to ensure the safety of military personnel operating in urban environments. The APC can accommodate a crew of up to 12 soldiers and is equipped with state-of-the-art defensive systems.

Featuring a high-strength armor composition, the Eitan APC provides excellent protection against ballistic threats and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). It is armed with a remote-controlled weapon station, incorporating a machine gun. The APC is powered by a highly efficient diesel engine, enabling it to achieve speeds of up to 90 km/h (60 mph).

This vehicle blueprint includes urban camouflage textures, a fully rigged structure, and various animated components such as machine gun rotation and elevation, and opening hatches. Additionally, it comes with a detailed damage model that includes damaged geometry, textures, and realistic fire and smoke effects. The blueprint also features firing animations and dynamic dust effects generated by the movement of the tracks.

The asset is designed as a standard Unreal vehicle with an interior, but it can be customized to suit specific project requirements. It is fully drivable, utilizing physics simulations provided by Epic Games’ Chaos Vehicles plugin. Please note that the Chaos Vehicles plugin must be enabled for proper vehicle movement. The scene incorporates Epic Games’ Volumetrics plugin for environmental clouds and utilizes Lumen for advanced lighting effects.

A sample showcase/demo Blueprint is included with an environment map and a user interface (UI). When you “Play” the map, the UI provides camera presets, sliders, and buttons to showcase the key functionalities of the APC.

The Volumetrics plugin is employed to create and render the environmental clouds within the scene, utilizing its volume creation and rendering tools. The Chaos Vehicles system plugin allows for realistic vehicle movement by utilizing advanced physics simulations.
