The Stryker M1130 Command Vehicle (CV) is a variant of the Stryker family of armoured vehicles used by the United States Army and other armed forces. The Stryker is a family of eight-wheeled, armoured combat vehicles designed for a variety of roles, including infantry transport, reconnaissance, command and control, medical evacuation, and more. Each variant is equipped with specialized equipment to fulfil its specific role.
The M1130 CV is designed to serve as a command and control vehicle within Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCTs). Its primary function is to provide commanders with a mobile and protected platform from which they can plan, coordinate, and oversee battlefield operations. The vehicle is equipped with advanced communication and networking equipment, such as radios, satellite communication systems, and data terminals, to facilitate real-time information sharing and decision-making on the battlefield.
Key features and specifications of the Stryker M1130 CV may include:
Unlike some other Stryker variants, the M1130 CV is armed with a turret-mounted machine gun. Its primary focus is on command and control functions rather than direct combat.
The vehicle is equipped with a suite of communication systems that allow it to connect to the tactical communication network, enabling commanders to maintain situational awareness and coordinate with other units and headquarters.
Like other Stryker variants, the M1130 CV features varying levels of armour protection to defend against small arms fire, artillery shell splinters, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.
The Stryker M1130 CV has a wheeled, 8×8 drive configuration, which provides good mobility and speed on roads and in off-road conditions. It can be transported by military transport aircraft and is designed for rapid deployment.
The Stryker family of vehicles is known for its modular design, which allows for the integration of different mission-specific kits. This means the M1130 CV can be adapted for different command and control tasks.
This vehicle blueprint includes desert and forest camouflage textures, a fully rigged structure, and various animated components such as machine gun rotation and elevation, and opening hatches. Additionally, it comes with a detailed damage model that includes damaged geometry, textures, and realistic fire and smoke effects. The blueprint also features firing animations and dynamic dust effects generated by the movement of the tracks.
The asset is designed as a standard Unreal vehicle with an interior, but it can be customized to suit specific project requirements. It is fully drivable, utilizing physics simulations provided by Epic Games’ Chaos Vehicles plugin. Please note that the Chaos Vehicles plugin must be enabled for proper vehicle movement. The scene incorporates Epic Games’ Volumetrics plugin for environmental clouds and utilizes Lumen for advanced lighting effects.
A sample showcase/demo Blueprint is included with an environment map and a user interface (UI). When you “Play” the map, the UI provides camera presets, sliders, and buttons to showcase the key functionalities of the vechiel.
This asset includes the use of Epic Games’ Volumetrics plugin and Chaos Vehicles system plugin for demonstration purposes only. However, the vehicle asset can be utilized and modified in personal projects without these plugins enabled.
The Volumetrics plugin is employed to create and render the environmental clouds within the scene, utilizing its volume creation and rendering tools. The Chaos Vehicles system plugin allows for realistic vehicle movement by utilizing advanced physics simulations.
Please note that all rights pertaining to the Volumetrics plugin and the Chaos Vehicles system plugin are the exclusive property of Epic Games. Vigilante makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the usage of Epic’s plugins.
