The Akula-class is a class of nuclear-powered attack submarines (SSN) that was originally built for the Soviet Navy and later continued by the Russian Navy. The name Akula means shark in Russian. These submarines are known by the NATO reporting name of Typhoon.

Here are some key features and characteristics of the Akula-class submarines:

The Akula-class submarines were developed during the Cold War era by the Soviet Union. The submarines were designed for anti-submarine warfare and reconnaissance missions.

The Akula-class submarines have a length of about 110 meters (360 feet) and a submerged displacement of around 13,000 tons.

These submarines are powered by a nuclear reactor, providing them with unlimited underwater endurance. The nuclear propulsion system allows them to operate submerged for extended periods without the need to surface for air.

Akula-class submarines are equipped with a variety of torpedoes and anti-ship missiles. They can carry torpedoes and cruise missiles, making them versatile in their offensive capabilities.

The Akula-class submarines are known for their relatively quiet operation, enhancing their effectiveness in stealth and surprise.

These submarines have a crew complement of around 73 to 80 personnel. The crew accommodations include living quarters, control rooms, and facilities for long-duration missions.

The Akula-class has undergone several upgrades and modifications over the years, with different submarines featuring variations in their equipment and capabilities.

This vehicle blueprint is fully rigged, has animated missile shafts, snorkel, radar, front & rear hydroplanes, antennas, and rudders. Textures and propeller thrust FX are included.

The vehicle is ready for import into your DIS/HLA (RPR FOM) simulation projects. As such, it is not set up as a traditional Unreal asset with an interior but can be modified as needed to suit your purpose.

A sample showcase/demo Blueprint has been included with an environment map and User Interface (UI). When you “Play” the map, the UI includes camera presets, sliders, and buttons to demonstrate the key functionalities of the asset.
