EE-9 Cascavel (West)

The EE-9 Cascavel is a Brazilian made wheeled armoured reconnaissance vehicle. It was designed and manufactured by the Brazilian company Engesa, which was known for producing a range of military vehicles. The EE-9 Cascavel was developed to meet the requirements of the Brazilian Army and other international customers.

The EE-9 Cascavel is primarily designed for reconnaissance and surveillance missions. It has a 6×6 wheeled configuration, making it suitable for various terrains and environments. The vehicle is equipped with a turret-mounted armament, usually including a 90mm main gun or a 60mm mortar. This armament allows the Cascavel to engage light armoured vehicles and provide indirect fire support. The level of protection on the EE-9 Cascavel varies depending on the model and upgrades. It generally provides protection against small arms fire and shell splinters. Some versions may have additional armour or modifications to enhance crew survivability.

This vehicle blueprint includes desert and forest camouflage textures, a fully rigged structure, and various animated components such as machine gun rotation and elevation, and opening hatches. The blueprint also features firing animations and dynamic dust effects generated by the movement of the tracks.

The asset is designed as a standard Unreal vehicle with an interior, but it can be customized to suit specific project requirements. It is fully drivable, utilizing physics simulations provided by Epic Games’ Chaos Vehicles plugin. Please note that the Chaos Vehicles plugin must be enabled for proper vehicle movement. The scene incorporates Epic Games’ Volumetrics plugin for environmental clouds and utilizes Lumen for advanced lighting effects.

A sample showcase/demo Blueprint is included with an environment map and a user interface (UI). When you “Play” the map, the UI provides camera presets, sliders, and buttons to showcase the key functionalities of the vechiel.
